You may, as a foreigner, create a bank account in a Turkish bank. With a Turkish bank account, you may pay your bills easily and keep money for use during holiday season.

To open a bank account, you will need to bring with you the following:

▪    Passport

▪    Your tax numbers

▪    Proof of your address in Turkey – e.g. a bill in your name

▪    Money for deposit

▪    Optionally an invoice from ASKI or AYDEM if you want to set up an automatic debit
